The secret to sporting success has finally been revealed: Play hard, party hard. Usain Bolt, one of the best sprinters in the world, and the Eric Hosmer and his Kansas City Royals, the surprise package of the MLB, are proving that statement couldn't be more true. Bolt has been seen partying at Germany's Oktoberfest, while the Royals celebrated their playoff series win with a $20,000 party. With the Royals closing in on being the best team in the world, could there be a legit link between working hard, and letting your hair down and partying after you've earned it?

While in Munich Bolt had beer after beer, with some saying he was drinking beers as quickly as he runs on the track. Bolt is a huge fan, and goes every year, showing that you can be an elite sportsman and enjoy the party afterwards. Some sports stars party before succeeding, and evidently that causes problems. After all, nobody can fault elite stars for celebrating their success, but who wants to see a losing athlete using his big salary to party if they can't perform and earn that pay?

Kansas City are yet to prove their worth in the World Series, but they're close to getting there. Hosmer and his teammates led the Royals to a 3-0 series win over the Los Angeles Angels, and then they partied even harder, spending a reported 20K on booze. Did the Royals pay for this huge bill? Nope, it was Hosmer, the man of the moment, who paid for the bill in its entirety.

While the world are quick to judge stars for drinking and getting in to trouble, elite sportsmen are proving you can win, drink, have fun and most importantly, remain trouble-free.
