Could Blake Lively and Aziz Ansari have been the biggest celebrity couple to happen since Brad and Angie? Well that is what the Parks and Recreation star was hoping when he gave the former Gossip Girl star his phone number back in 2011.

According to E! News, the funnyman revealed during an interview with Howard Stern that the relationship he was hoping would start through texts, didn't go as he intended, saying that it got pretty awkward.

"I was at some event sometime and I had heard Blake Lively was a fan," Ansari told Stern. "I said, 'hello', and, we talked for a little while, and she was really nice, and she was really into food, and I'm really into food, and so we started taking about that and about stuff... and we exchange phone numbers."

He recalls that he texted the actress a few time for instance wondering if she would be attending the Met Ball. One might think that when the two encountered each other at the event that it might have been awkward since Lively didn't respond to his text, but Aziz says that the two said hello to each other and he even tried to start up a texting friendship again afterwards.

But during the whole texting relationship, Blake had only texted him back once regarding a text he sent about her and Karl Lagerfeld.

Lively didn't respond again to Aziz, not even when he sent her a Happy Holidays message on Dec 17, 2011.

Lively has since been happily married to Ryan Reynolds and as we reported yesterday the couple is expecting their first child together, so it looks like Aziz might have missed the boat on that one.
