There have been fashion designer competitions, singing competitions and food competitions and now Oxygen is bringing you a nail competition. Tonight, Oxygen's new nail art competition called Nail'd It is premiering.

Here is what you need to know before the first episode.

1.    Adrienne Bailon is the host.

Adrienne Bailon might be known for her acting career and role in Disney's The Cheetah Girls, or for dating Rob Kardashian, but there is more to her. The actress has recently created her own nail polish line called Fingertip Fetish. The luxury line of nail polish is 100 percent vegan and is inspired by her New York City upbringing. With her own line of polish, being named the host of Nail'd It was very natural.

"I was happily surprised. Obviously my passion is nails but there was only so much I knew about, and I think your average viewer feels the same way. Even if you love nails, the show surpasses anything you ever knew about them," Adrienne told Zap2It.

2.    There are "Quick Dry" challenges.

In addition to creating unique designs every week, there are "Quick Dry" challenges in every episode to keep the contestants on their toes. In the premiere episode, which airs tonight, Zap2It reported that the challenge "tasked the three competing artists to create a nail art masterpiece based on the wardrobe statement pieces of three entertainment and lifestyle writers."

According to Zap2It, the "Quick Dry" challenges are "kind of like a Top Chef Quickfire mixed with a Project Runway client challenge that starts each hourlong episode of Nail'd It."

3.    The nail creations are works of art.

To many people, nail art is a way of expressing one's self. To the contestants on Nail'd It, nails are a canvas for their masterpieces. Each episode will challenge the artists to create something unique and beautiful with only a nail bed as their canvas.

"Artwork that's just an arm's-length away at all times is 'better than hanging a painting and getting to appreciate it for only a few minutes a day,'" contestant Chris Mans (who is the owner of a nail salon in Orange County) told the Associated Press via ABC News.

18 contestants begin competing tonight for a chance to change the course of their life. The ultimate grand prize is $100,000 to open one of the winner's own salon. Tune in to see what the artists nail it!
