Will Bishop T.D. Jakes Participate In Deitrick Haddon's 'Open Doors' Challenge?

By Star Connor | Nov 24, 2014 09:52 AM EST

Deitrick Haddon has a lot to say when it comes to how other pastors, ministers, bishops and preachers "open up their doors." In a new interview with Hip Hollywood, Haddon explained that the show he decided to be a apart of, "Preachers of L.A.," was successful but is controversial because the stars of the show are not hiding behind things "people wanted to know about preachers." "Open up your doors, Bishop Jakes! Open up your doors, Creflo Dollar. Open up your doors, Bishop Morton!” Deitrick challenged the well-known pastors. He added, "If y'all real people, you want people to hear you preaching and talking every Sunday, they have the right to know the real you." Deitrick explained, “They [the people] have the right to know the real you. Because I don't want nobody preaching to me that I really don't know." He added, "This show kind of gives you the truth about who these guys are. I’m not saying you are going to get two worlds because it should be consistent with what you are preaching about, but I think the issue here has been [that pastors feel] we’re not supposed to show people our humanity — we’re just supposed to show people Jesus." Meanwhile, Bishop T.D. Jakes explained the reasons why he doesn't really care to be a part of the Oxygen show and challenge, slamming Haddon. Read More »
