Josh Duhamel Jokes With Ellen Degeneres About His Son Axl's "Defiant" Behavior

Josh Duhamel and son Axl with wife Fergie are two peas in a pod; however, Duhamel reveals to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired this past Tuesday (Oct. 7), that his son can be a bit defiant.

The You're Not You actor gushed to Degeneres about this 1-year-old son and the milestones and adventures the two have gone on this past year, including swim lessons!

"I'll take him to the pool with me and we have swimming lessons, but when you have the water rushing up at you it's a little bit different. He freaked out a little but he's fine."

The couple welcomed their baby boy on Aug 29, 2013, and just celebrated his sports-themed birthday this summer. They married in 2009 in a Roman Catholic ceremony at the Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu, California.

With a wedding location near the water and a home in Los Angeles you would assume little Axl has been to the beach many times in his one year of life. Well, that's not the case.

"He's walking. He's fully mobile," he told Ellen. "I just took him to the beach for the first time. I feel a little guilty about that because we live two miles from the beach."

As any two-year-old would be, Duhamel reveals that his little one is defiant. Yes, folks celebrities children aren't as perfect as you would think! They are just like us!

"He's also defiant," Duhamel shared. "They get to a certain age and they start to test you a little bit. He'll stick his finger up my nose and I'll say, 'No. Don't do that.' Then he'll stick it up his nose. He thinks it's funny."

He goes on to tell Ellen about his mad diaper duty talents, "Well in the beginning it was me, but she's really improved her diaper changing skills in the last year," he shared. "It's very impressive. She's as good at it as I am now. I had two younger sisters so I had a lot of practice growing up. She had never held a baby before. I don't think she ever really held a baby, especially a brand new one before we had one."
