They're officially back folks! The '90s sensations Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) are hitting the big screen this November for Dumb and Dumber To. Directors and writers Peter and Bobby Farrelly share what moviegoers can expect from this highly anticipated movie.

"Jim called me out of the blue and said, 'I want to do that kind of movie – that's exactly what I want to do,'" Peter Farrelly, and brother Bobby told the Los Angeles Times. "I said, 'Done!'"

The original Dumb and Dumber film hit the jackpot with a $247 million worldwide box office slam, back when it released in 1994. To this day, it's considered a classic comedy by fans and movie industry enthusiasts.

The film's prequel hasn't gone without failure, as some have tried to remake the flick, ultimately leading to a harsh crash and burn that made headlines for its terrible take on the original. What really went wrong? Well, it didn't star Carrey and Daniels, that's for certain!

"I always knew it was going to happen," Peter Farrelly said, "but there were many, many, many days when it looked like it might not."

So why are they just now making the second installment nearly 20 years later? Will fans even take to such a movie now?

"There's been a constant feeling of, 'Why isn't anyone making this movie?'" Carrey said, adding, "It got done despite a whole lot of cowardice all the way around."

The scene is also set 20 years later for both Lloyd and Harry as they adventure on a road trip, to find Harry's long-lost daughter in hopes to obtain a new kidney.

Rightfully so, Jeff Daniels, who just won an Emmy for his performance as Will McAvoy on HBO's The Newsroom sated, "I got the Emmy on Sunday night and Tuesday morning I was showing butt crack. ... To be honest, it was frightening how fast it all came back."
