With an injury to Kevin Durant, a new team for LeBron James and Kobe Bryant approaching the end of his career, could this be the year the New York Knicks's Carmelo Anthony dominates across the NBA scoring categories, and could he win an NBA title? Without a doubt he's one of the best in the league, but will personal success be enough for the forward? He will have his struggles regardless, which he has stunningly admitted a matter of weeks before the season.

Durant will miss nearly two months, and he's usually a big rival to Anthony's scoring chances. Kobe is aging to the point where he can't keep up, and LeBron has joined the Cleveland Cavaliers, where the points are likely to be shared around. Anthony is ready to give it his best, but not without a struggle, at first it would seem.

He explained the changes the team has undergone, saying, "It's an adjustment. It's an adjustment because I'm used to taking my time and seeing where the defense is coming from. And even now, it's a medium that you've got to play with. Sometimes you can hold it a little, sometimes you don't have it, [you have to] get it out quickly. So it's an adjustment for me. If you don't have nothing in a second, second and a half, the ball is out. There's no holding, there's a lot of ball movement. So your [teammates] have got to be ready for it.'

This may be Anthony's best chance to prove himself as the best, and if it all goes to plan, could he be lifting the NBA championship in 2015?
