Floyd Mayweather only has a couple of fights left until he decides to retire, and it seems his passion has crossed over to his pal Kobe Bryant. Mayweather, as he often does, was in attendance for the big game, as the San Antonio Spurs visited the LA Lakers, but he failed to bring them any luck. The NY Knicks have high expectations, and their star-studded audience proves that, too. New York is the place to be, and perhaps that's why Carmelo Anthony opted to stay with the Knicks, and perhaps that's why Taylor Swift and lingerie model Karlie Kloss were in attendance for their home-opener. Kevin Durant isn't on the cover of 'NBA 2K15' for no reason. The Oklahoma City Thunder star is without a doubt one of the most loved individuals in the entire NBA, so evidently basketball fans were deeply upset when they learned that he will be out for the remainder of 2014. Kobe Bryant is fighting to save his NBA career, and now he has to prove to himself, the Los Angles Lakers and everyone else, that he's still the same Kobe he was a year or so ago. ESPN can be added to that list. They ranked Bryant as the 40th best player in the league for this season, and it seems the veteran shooter isn't too happy with the criticism. The Oklahoma City Thunder have one goal, and one goal only, and that's to win an NBA title. However, it seems the basketball world is out to get them. The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Sunday that superstar and reigning league Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant is injured and will most likely miss 6-8 weeks to open the NBA season, Deadspin is reporting. According to the team's announcement, released on behalf of Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti, the injury is to Durant's right foot and will likely require surgery.
