The 1980s cartoon Rainbow Brite is coming back to television. Yes, the revival is actually happening and it's being reported that The Breakfast Club alum Molly Ringwald will be one of the voices. Disney's Emily Osment (who starred on Hannah Montana) will be the voice of Rainbow Brite herself in the new show.

Rainbow Brite, as some of us remember, is a young girl who uses her magical powers to save Rainbowland from evil.

"Being cast as the voice of Rainbow Brite for the relaunch of this iconic show is truly an honor. I look forward to connecting with the audience, old and new, and going on this exciting adventure together," Osment said in a statement via E! Online.

The original cartoon premiered 30 years ago in 1984 and ran until 1986. The actual character of Rainbow Brite was created in 1983. The revival will be featured on Feeln, a video-on-demand service that can be viewed on your TV by using Xbox or Roku.

The iconic 80's queen of film, Ringwald, will be voicing the main antagonist, Entertainment Weekly reported, playing The Dark Princess on the revival cartoon. The series will begin on Nov. 6 with three weekly episodes. You can watch the trailer now, below.

Rainbow Bright is the first of many childhood cartoons that are making a comeback. Both Care Bears and Teletubbies are getting a revival show. "One series not previously announced by Netflix is Care Bears and Cousins, a franchise that dates back to the 1980s. The first season is being targeted for early 2016, though a specific release date isn't scheduled yet. Care Bears and forthcoming Netflix franchises like The Magic School Bus 360 and Popples are part of a nostalgia trend in television," CNN Money reported.

CBC News learned that Teletubbies are heading back to TV with the help of DHX Media, a Canadian production company. DHX Media announced that there would be 60 new Teletubbies episodes on BBC's CBeebies channel in the U.K.
