Christian Bale, Steve Jobs Biopic Movie CONFIRMED [VIDEO] 'Dark Knight' Star In Film From Director Danny Boyle, Writer Aaron Sorkin

For the role of Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic directed by Danny Boyle, writer Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the script, said that he was looking for "the best actor." This week he revealed that he found his man in Christian Bale, thus confirming previous casting rumors surrounding the Dark Knight star that we've heard for a number of weeks now.

"We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale," Sorkin said in a new interview with Bloomberg Television's Emily Chang. "He didn't have to audition"

Other actors up for this role, according to rumors, included Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Bradley Cooper. Leonardo DiCaprio was allegedly the closest to signing on to portray Jobs, but bowed out of the competition earlier this year.

"The role is an extremely difficult role," Sorkin revealed. "He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn't a scene or a frame that he's not in. And there's a tremendous amount of language. So it's an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it."
