Ivanka Trump knows that sometimes the most fashion-forward look is a blast from the past: a sparkly, fringed, vintage dress borrowed from her mom Ivana's closet. She wore the dress to the nuptials of designer Joseph Altuzarra to his real estate mogul fiancé Seth Weissman and posted the picture to Instagram.

Ivanka proves even fashionistas who have their own clothing and accessory lines sometimes sneak into their mother's closets to play dress-up. On her Instagram photo, Ivanka captioned, "Last night in my mother's vintage Bob Mackie dress. It's a good thing she's not on Instagram! A daughter's never too old to clandestinely raid her mother's closet! Shhhhh...#latergram."

According to Us Weekly, Ivana Trump, 65, first wore the stunning creation by Mackie, the man behind some of Cher's wildest stage looks, to the Party of the "Best" in November 1991. Donald Trump's ex (she and the real estate mogul divorced in 1992 after 15 years of marriage) added black stockings and a quite extravagant hairstyle to her ensemble, while her daughter modernized the look by slicking her hair back into a tight bun.

Although it's quite common for daughters to raid their moms' closets, mothers sometimes borrow clothes from their daughters' closets too! Reality star Kris Jenner took to her daughter Kim Kardashian's closet for fashion inspiration. Jenner chose one of Kim's dresses to wear to the Philanthropic Society LA Autumn Party in Culver City, California.

"It's actually Kim's dress that I'm stealing, because it seemed good, and it's one of the things that seemed age-appropriate. So I thought, 'I'm doing that,'" she told People.
