This Sunday the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons will go head-to-head in an NFL regular season game, the second of their 3 Wembley Stadium games this season, but is it enough? London, the NFL, and the UK fans are desperate to bring their very own franchise to the capital. Many have suggested it's possible, and chancellor George Osborne has backed the push, stating the importance in bringing regular football to England, but will that be enough to make this fantasy a reality?

The chancellor insisted the government will back this push all the way. He explained: "One of London's massive strengths is its sporting prowess, its great football teams. This is primarily a decision for the owners of the clubs and the NFL organisation but I've said to the NFL that anything the government can do to make this happen we will do because I think it would be a huge boost to London."

He believes it will strengthen London as the sporting city of the world, continuing, "I just think it will cement London as a global sporting capital as well as a global financial and business and cultural capital."

Will the UK get their way?

NFL was indeed the sport of America, but it seems England are desperate to get in on the fun, and the NFL might just let them get involved. They've recently suggested that they're looking in to the idea of new franchises or relocation possibilities.

Should London get their very own team, or not?
