It seems as though every week we hear about Taylor Swift and her dating woes. This week is no different as the "Shake It Off" singer reveals in a new interview with U.K.'s The Sun that she hasn't dated anyone in over 18 months!

"I get stressed when I think about getting into a relationship because I get beat up in the press whenever I go near a boy," Harry Styles' former girlfriend revealed.

As MStars previously reported, Swift has been responsible for numerous dating headlines with the likes of, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy and One Direction singer Harry Styles.

"You can understand why I'm taking a bit of a break. A relationship is not in my brain right now. Staying single has been the best thing I have done ... I'm not wary of getting into another relationship."

The country singer recently told Esquire magazine that she believes it's healthy for everyone to go a few years without dating. Getting to know yourself is important, she stated.

"I'm just protective of my independence and freedom, more protective than I have been before. I always thought, 'What could be better than to love someone and be loved back?' I finally found what it is to love yourself and not need anyone to love you back."

As far as her dating hiatus goes, other entertainers can be rest assured that they won't end up in any of her famous break-up songs!

Two of her most infamous relationships were with Joe Jonas and John Mayer, who actually ended up writing break-up songs about Swift!

What comes around goes around.
