Ever raid your closet in the morning and still can't find anything to wear? This week, Refinery29 co-founders Piera Gelardi and Christene Barberich came out with their first book, Style Stalking, a 192-page paperback guide designed to help you through your next style rut.

Refinery 29 describes style as "something you have, but cannot get. Style is something you can learn, but can't buy. Style is always evolving, but also a constant — though it never stays the same for long per person, it doesn't change every six months for an industry. Long story short, style is a language that helps you tell a story through what you're wearing." Pretty cool break down.

According to Fashionista, Gelardi and Barberich have combed through the many street style shots that have appeared in Refinery29 over the years, and categorized them into: "brights," "layering," "mixed prints," "good vintage," "ugly pretty," etc.

The book gives you basic guidelines for incorporating variety into your own wardrobe. It also helps you replicate various styling techniques on bodies of many shapes and sizes. Unlike most style guides, it doesn't encourage you to buy new things, but to look at your own closet differently.

Chock-full of the insider tips and tricks for rule-breaking style, this book reveals how intrepid dressers interpret a few classic style moves like "Ladylike, Ugly-Pretty, and Vintage," but with that classic Refinery29 spin readers expect.

In an interview with Fashionista, Barberich says it was important for her to create a real, working style guide. "We wanted it to be really digestible, a user-friendly cheat sheet," Barberich says. "We wanted you to be able to throw it in your bag, so you could really use it, not this kind of precious thing that you would never touch."

Refinery 29: Style Stalking, $15.31, is available at Amazon.
