Conceptual streetwear brand, Hood by Air, is heading back to Manhattan for the third and final part of its spring show on October 30, in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art. The event, officially entitled MoMA PopRally Presents Hood By Air: Id, (the first two parts were called Ego and Superego) will be open to the public and tickets can be purchased through MoMA for $25.

According to Fashionista, like HBA's runway shows, there will be art and musical performance elements and a multimedia installation. Boychild and Mykki Blanco are among the artists set to perform.

A press release states, the event will be "a performance masquerading as a party — the interactive, semi-virtual experience includes a theater, a live stream, and a 'humannequin' installation. They will not be showing a new collection but rather performance as a representation of the brand — since the element has been so instrumental to the brand's ethos."

HBA recently collaborated with Kanye West's creative directors brand Off-White, on a capsule collection for VFiles that you can actually sleep in. It's all part of a collaboration to coincide with the release of NYC photographer Kevin Amato's first book, called Cozy.

The capsule collection includes boxers, blankets and a sleep mask with the words "6 feet deep" on it. As for the graphic, HBA chose a man sitting in the dark in bed, illuminated by his computer screen. He believes that social media platforms are the new museums and fashion and retail are "the new currency."

"Young kids can't relate to the formal institutionalized museums. They relate more to Tumblr and Instagram for art references and inspiration," he said. "The platform has evolved, which inspired the capsule. A way to introduce fine art in an accessible and culturally relevant way to a whole new generation. A generation that absorbs information via blue glowing screens faster than the speed of light."

Stay tuned for coverage from HBA's third spring show next week!
