Emma Watson covers Elle UK's December 2014 issue, headlining the magazine with, "Emma Watson: The FRESH FACE of feminism. What really happened the day she made her UN speech?"

Earlier this summer, the "Harry Potter" actress was named the U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador and during one of her many activist roles, gave a heartfelt speech on feminism and gender in the U.N. The speech was met by a sizable standing ovation.

She opens up to Elle UK about this. "I was very nervous. It wasn't an easy thing for me to do. It felt like: 'Am I going to have lunch with these people, or am I going to be eaten? Am I the lunch?'"

Chosen to be an Ambassador was without reservations from the U.N. heads, most likely from her role as the adored heroine in the Harry Potter series, in which Mstars has reported made her one of the richest entertainers in the UK, worth $60 million.

"Fame is not something I have always felt comfortable with; I have really grappled with it emotionally," Watson tell the magazine. "And, in a funny way, doing this is my way of making sense of the fame, of using it. I have found a way to channel it towards something else, which makes it so much more manageable for me. And this is something I really believe in."

With fame, we see that Watson has put it to good use and in a cause that she is passionate about. However, what is her definition of the word feminism?

"Feminism is not here to dictate to you. It's not prescriptive, it's not dogmatic. All we are here to do is give you a choice. If you want to run for President, you can. If you don't, that's wonderful, too. I'm lucky I was raised to believe that my opinion at the dinner table was valuable. My mum and I spoke as loudly as my brothers."
