In this week's Top Chef, titled "The Curse of the Bambino," Ron is upset Joy went home when he felt either Keriann or Aaron should've gone home for their childish behavior. Aaron and James are shown bonding over the fact that they had a tough road in life to get to where they are. Aaron also fights with Katsuji.

The chefs make their way into the kitchen for the quickfire with Padma and Ming Tsai. They find out it's a sudden death quickfire, where whoever loses faces elimination. The challenge is to create a dish highlighting tea, but the tea they pick will be a mystery to them until they open the canister.

In the end, the winner is Gregory with his tuna and strawberry dish. The least favorite dish belongs to Aaron's monkfish. Surprisingly, he chooses Katie not his nemesis Keriann to duel with so he doesn't go home. He picked Katie because she's a culinary instructor and he never went to culinary school, so he wants to "school" her.

The challenge is to make a dish using boiled water to cook with as heat. Everyone was rooting on Katie to win because Aaron is the least-liked person in the house, but he pulled it out with his spring roll over her pasta dish. Both of them get to stay in the competition.

The chefs now get their elimination challenge, which is to create a dish using traditional ballpark snacks like pretzels, peanuts, cotton candy, popcorn, and crackerjacks. They will be serving their food at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Ron hates the idea because he doesn't feel like fine dining and a ballpark go together. My favorite, Katsuji, got fried dough, but he has barely been in this episode, which means he won't be going home. Keriann is doing a short rib, which usually takes longer than three hours to cook to be tender.

The next day, we find out Gregory has had a checkered past, where he was addicted to drugs and burned a lot of bridges. He repaired those relationships and got clean. While cooking at Fenway, Katie sees her crème brûlée is watery and tries to whisk it furiously to have the right texture. When taking out her dish to the judges, she tells them about the mistake in execution, but the judges tell her they love it.

Next time, don't give away your weakness to the enemy!

Katsuji is cooking with pork, and when one of the chefs jokingly asks him if the pork is kosher he replies, "It's circumcised."

Love him!

As other chefs said before, when Keriann brought out her short rib dish, they told her it needed more time cooking and it was under-seasoned. Adam overcooks his fish and blames the curse of the Bambino! The judges, of course, notice the fish is overcooked, but they say the broth saved it.

In the stew room, Katsuji and Aaron go at it and it's great! Aaron is tired of Katsuji talking too much. It's these kinds of fights between the chefs that make this show so entertaining. It's been much better than Survivor, which has only had one conflict all season so far.

All the chefs arrive at the judges' table with the top dishes belonging to Gregory, Katie and Melissa. The winning dish is Gregory's duck. Gregory is on a roll now and looks to be the chef to beat.

The least favorite dishes belong to Ron, Keriann and — nooooo! — Katsuji. And the losing dish is Ron's soup with a big fish ball croquet in the middle. He wanted the croquet to resemble a baseball, but it didn't work. The judges thought it was a mess and its proportions were all off.

Next week the chefs cook in the Cheers bar with special guest George Wendt!
