This week's episode of Nashville picked up right where we left off last week. "Nobody Said it was Going to be Easy" is all about the CMA Awards and the drama that comes with it. Plus, Juliette and Avery try to figure out their relationship once and for all.

The episode begins with Juliette waking up after she passed out on stage last week. When she is in the hospital she learns she had a blood clot and when she feels all alone Avery comes in. He drove all night to see her!

In a huge part of this week's episode, the CMA Award nominees are announced and everyone is glued to their TVs watching. Everyone expect for Juliette receives a solo nomination. Plus, Rayna and Luke each receive numerous nominations. Sadly the press says that they only got those nominations because people are fans of their engagement, which pisses Rayna off.

Back in Nashville, Gunnar is freaking out now that he knows he is a father. He goes to Scarlett for advice and she tells him not to give up on Micah and to get to know him while he can. Seriously, Scarlett and Gunnar would be a much better couple than Gunnar and Zoey.

In another part of town, Teddy gets invited to hangout with Jeff again and he says yes. He asks Maddie to watch Daphne and tells her they can only hangout with Colt at one place and she agrees, even though she is not happy about Daphne tagging along.

Back to Juliette, as she is trying to figure out why Avery showed up, Noah comes in with flowers and Avery leaves in an angry mood. Noah tells Juliette he will be there for her, but she tells him the fact that Avery showed up at all means she needs to give him a chance to be in the baby's life. The doctor then tells her that she has to cancel her tour or else she could get another blood clot that could kill her.

As Scarlett is trying to get to know Terry, the homeless man, by having him clean her gutters, Will and Layla are having serious marital issues. When Layla can no longer deal with Will's secret she starts to drink and is drunk the entire episode. Will is mad at her, but he feels bad because it is basically his fault, which is sad in itself.

Deacon's storyline this week revolves around Pam and performing. As Deacon continues to have a negative attitude about everything, Pam calls him out for not making the most of performing on stage as a solo artist.

Meanwhile, his daughter Maddie is getting into serious trouble in Nashville. When Colt's friends want to leave their meeting spot she offers up her house and they throw a party. When Daphne can't find her sister she begins to panic and tries to call her dad, but he doesn't pick up because he is hooking up with a random woman at Jeff's house.

As Maddie bonds with Colt she goes into kiss him, which is awkward since they are almost siblings, the cops walk in. They break up the party and Maddie is pissed at Daphne. As his daughters are getting a visit from the police, Teddy thanks Jeff for another wonderful night. Their bromance is becoming obnoxious. Before he leaves Jeff tells him that the women were actually hookers and that they were so great because he was paying them... yikes.

In a switch to Juliette, she leaves the hospital and goes to see Avery. When Zoey comes to the door she fires her from her tour and it is awesome. She then talks to Avery and tells him if he wants to help with the baby he has to be all in or else he needs to walk away completely. Yay, Juliette!

In music news, Rayna takes her career back into her own hands. She decides to promote herself for the CMA Awards so she can prove it is because of her talent, not her relationship with Luke that she was nominated. She then convinces Dancing With the Stars to let her perform by herself if she debuts a new song on their show. Very tricky Rayna, but well played.

After Luke's concert Deacon proves that he is out of his funk by playing the new song he wrote for Pam and it is awesome. His good night is cut short when Luke tells him that Maddie and Colt were in trouble for throwing a party. Even though Luke didn't invite him, Deacon tags along back to Nashville to see Maddie.

In a switch to Gunnar, he is bonding with his son (who he hasn't told about being his father) when he realizes he wants him in his life. When Kiley comes to get Micah the next morning, Gunnar convinces her to stay in town a little longer so they can try out the family thing. She agrees to his proposition just as Zoey walks in and asks what's going on. We can't wait to see how Gunnar explains this to Zoey.

At Rayna's house the girls are there with the police when Teddy and Rayna get home. They talk to Maddie and tell her that they are not mad, but she has to earn back their trust. They are also going to hire a nanny so that Teddy doesn't have so much stress with the girls. Maddie then apologizes to both of them and Deacon, who is oddly welcomed with open arms at their house, and it is adorable.

Back to Avery and Juliette, the duo has another talk. Avery says he doesn't want to be mad anymore so he forgives her but he doesn't trust her. Therefore, they cannot be in a relationship right now, but he does want to be involved with the baby. Not too bad for a couple who hated each other last week.

In the final moments of the show, Juliette holds a press conference. She announces her pregnancy, names Avery as the father and tells the reporters that she is canceling the rest of her tour. It is a badass move and very smart on her part.

In two weeks, Nashville returns with a fun combination with Dancing With the Stars.
