The American Horror Story universe is about to get even more interconnected. While we have been enjoying Naomi Grossman's reprisal of Pepper this season on Freak Show, fans are going to be geeking out over this new information. According to new reports, actress Lily Rabe will be coming back to AHS and step back into the nun habit she made famous as Sister Mary Eunice during the second season of the horror series.

We were devastated to learn that Rabe wouldn't be making an appearance on the series for the fourth installment, but according to Entertainment Weekly, the actress is gearing up to film scenes for Freak Show this coming weekend.

Get the scoop on Pepper's return to American Horror Story.

Lily revealed earlier this year that she wouldn't be able to appear on the current season of the show due to conflicts, since she's filming a new show for ABC called The Whispers.

But this good news comes with even better details. Not only will Lily be reprising her role of Sister Mary Eunice, but she will be appearing on the series a lot sooner than fans might expect. Her episode is set to air in December during the show's winter cliffhanger.

Reports are claiming that Mary Eunice will play an important part in the series during Pepper's storyline. Viewers will get to see how the pinhead ended up going from Elsa Mar's Freak Show to Briarcliff Manor.

This news also comes on the heels of Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka being cast in this season.
