The hilarious comedy Arrested Development is back and better than ever. Sure, it's not a new season, which we are still holding out for, but there will be new footage included in the season four rework. Plus, season four will now be in chronological order.

Creator Mitch Hurwitz made Arrested Development fans really happy when he told Pretentious Film Majors that he was reworking season four, which is the most recent season of the Netflix hit, in order to put the season in order.

"Right now, I'm cutting a version of season four that tells it kind of chronologically," Mitch said in his interview. There was however an upside to the tricky chronology of how the fourth season originally aired. "It was a great experience because... I was doing something so complex that I couldn't get any notes [from the execs]," he revealed. "It's a whole different era," he added about the re-edit.

The series, which was brought back to life in 2013 on Netflix, will also have some new jokes in the re-edit according to producer and narrator Ron Howard. The 60-year-old actor also appeared in the comedy and teased the new footage via Twitter.

"Recording new narration for re-edit of @ArrestedDevelopment 4. New footage, new jokes – Feels like a whole new season," Ron tweeted.

Although we were all excited to see the whole cast come back together for season four including, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, season five or a possible Arrested Development movie have been talked about and we would love to see it actually come to fruition.

In August, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said he was "positive" that another season of Arrested Development is possible. He told USA Today, "It's just a matter of when. Plus, the cast's schedule will play a huge part in when they can actually create another season. He admitted that season four proved "that the cast didn't appear on screen often enough together."

Fingers crossed season five happens sooner rather than later, but until then we will anxiously await the re-edit of season four. Netflix has yet to announce if the re-edit will stream on the site or if it will be available on DVD.
