The Tribe has extended Terry Francona's contract, ensuring that he will be here until 2018, with options in place to keep him until 2020, meaning they have one of the best coaches in the business. On top of that, they have the ever-improving Jason Kipnis, Yan Gomes, Michael Brantley and Carlos Santana, who could all explode, leaving them a near certainty to win it all next year. Francona was overjoyed, saying, "I always wanted to be part of the solution. I just didn't want to come for a few years and move on. That was never my goal. I wanted to come and stay. We're not the finished product and we know it. We're not sitting here patting ourselves on the back. But from where we were when I first came on board to where we are now, we're getting better. We still want to get a lot better, but we're going in the right direction and we have some players -- a core group of guys who are not only good players but exceptional people and that bodes well for us."

He has completely changed their franchise around, having two back-to-back winning seasons, proving that he has already made a larger than life impact on his team.
