Has E! found its Fashion Police replacement for Joan Rivers? Well, it might seem that way, as fellow funny lady Kathy Griffin is opening up and revealing that the network has offered her the job. But whether or not she takes it is a different story.

The star talked to Access Hollywood during her 54th birthday today and revealed that the network offered her the role.

"They did offer it to me," the star told the news site.

But while the position has been offered, it doesn't mean Kathy's going to take it.

"I don't know if the situation is correct at this time for me, or right for me at this time," the 54-year-old comedienne explained.

It was previously reported by E! News that with the blessing of Joan's daughter Melissa Rivers, the series would continue following Joan's Sept. 4 death.

"We decided, with Melissa Rivers's blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue," the site revealed. "Fashion Police will return in 2015 commencing with Golden Globes coverage on Monday, Jan. 12. No further details will be available at this time."

The show will also continue with fellow co-hosts Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos.

At this time it doesn't look like Griffin will be sitting in the seat left vacant by Joan, as she said she hoped the show would continue to follow in the legacy Joan created.

"I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan's work. She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need," the starlet explained. "Somebody's gotta be out there poking fun at the ridiculousness of all this!"
