Discounts will begin the Monday before Thanksgiving, and drop again Thanksgiving Day. Prices will go back up the Tuesday after Cyber Monday. If you'd rather head to stores to shop, in-store prices will match online prices for the most part, and you might get a special discount exclusive to stores, especially on Black Friday and during inventory clearance periods closer to the holidays. Fashionista reports, online retailers are expecting a record holiday season, with holiday sales forecast to jump 10 percent over last year, far outpacing the national average. Black Friday sales are expected to hit a record $2.48 billion, up 28 percent from last year. Online retailers are also expecting record sales of $1.35 billion that day, up 27 percent. But for e-commerce, Cyber Monday is still the king of sales days: Shoppers are expected to spend $2.6 billion online that day, up 15 percent from the year before.
