It looks like Mariah Carey has found herself a fan in Azealia Banks. The controversial rapper - who isn't shy about starting beef with other artists in the music game - actually dealt out a compliment to the Queen of R&B on her Twitter account.

The Broke With Expensive Taste rapper tweeted that one of Mariah Carey's songs is perpetually stuck in her head, and it garnered a reply from the diva herself.

"Joyride by Mariah Carey is permanently stuck in my head...Not complaining..." Banks tweeted earlier this week.

For all those that don't remember the song off of the iconic cd The Emancipation Of Mimi, we've posted it below for your listening pleasure.

Mariah commented back two days later writing, "@AzealiaBanks thank you!!! I almost forgot about that song. Congrats on your album!"

It seems that Banks was star struck by the musical icon responding to her that she tweeted at her again, this time writing, "@MariahCarey OMG u legend I just gagged! Thank you so much xoxo"

Mariah then responded with a simple "LOL!!" and four heart emojis."

Carey wasn't the only star that Azealia has expressed a liking in over the last couple of days. She also took to defend Lana Del Rey when Eminem rapped about punching the "West Coast" songstress in the face.

In the male rappers new song, "Shady Cxypher," he raps that he is going to punch Lana in the face like Baltimore Raven's player Ray Rice did to his girlfriend, according to E! News.

When Azealia heard about the lyrics she took to her Twitter to defend Lana, writing "But does Eminem know that I will personally punch him in his mouth?!" the star explained on Twitter. "Tell him to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwaves hotpocket dinner."

The tweet has since been deleted by Banks.
