One year ago, the city of Cleveland was silent. The Cleveland Indians had been knocked out of the MLB playoffs, and the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers had no hope of success. However, along came LeBron James and Donte Whitner, who have both helped to change their teams, their city and their fortunes around. The two have reached out to one another, and it looks like they are ready to take over not just the NBA and NFL, but the city of Cleveland.

The Browns look like a playoff hopeful, and after yet another win, James reached out to Witner, saying, "S/O my homie @dontehitner31! First place in the AFC North. I see u hitting em with "The Silence" out there! Keep going. #TheLand #StriveForGreatness"

However, Whitner, has admitted the Browns can do more, with the NFL playoffs in their reach, saying, "We stack up very well. The playoff team that I was on was three years in a row with the San Francisco 49ers, each year we reached the NFC Championship and the style of football that we played there was similar to the style of football that we play here. We wanted to get a lot of turnovers because we understood that getting turnovers, you get the offense the ball more and there is a direct correlation between turnovers and winning. Usually when you go back and look at the statistics at the end of the year, the teams that are in the top 10, top 12, usually 95 percent of them are in the playoffs."

He explained his past will help, continuing, "We wanted to play a physical style of football, a relentless style of football (in San Francisco), and it's similar here. As far as individuals, you can't really compare individuals because football is a different type of game, but we have players who can be Pro Bowlers and All-Pro type players. That comes along with team success and individual success, and I think there are a lot of guys out there who have shown individual success so far."

It seems it's Cleveland's time now, and this duo is set to make sure of that.
