Some news to build even more anticipation for the holidays; One Direction, Meghan Trainor and Charli XCX have just been added to ABC's Dick Clarke's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, which has already announced Taylor Swift as its headliner.

That's right 1D fans, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, One Direction will be helping to ring in your new year, joining "All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor and Charli XCX of "Boom Clap" fame... but there will be no chance of exes Taylor Swift and Harry Styles meeting up, as One Direction will be headlining  the festivities from the West Coast, playing the Billboard Hollywood Party in Los Angeles.

As for the rest of the show, ABC have announced that the bi-coastal celebration will include "hours of special performances and reports on New Year's celebrations from around the globe".

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest will team up to host alongside newly minted reality star Jenny McCarthy and Black Eyed Pea/solo-artist Fergie (who will also perform), with Seacrest apparently tabbed to "lead the traditional countdown to midnight".

In addition to that already stellar lineup, Gavin Degraw and Lady Antebellum "will perform live from Music City's New Year's Eve Bash on Broadway in downtown Nashville", say ABC.

But the main event, no doubt will be Taylor Swift, who will be performing just before the ball drops in Times Square at midnight, all in front of 1 million fans.

While Swift has obviously dominated pop culture in 2014 with her album 1989, both Charli XCX and Fergie will also be promoting new music. Charli XCX's new album Sucker is due for release on Dec. 15, while Fergie's "L.A. Love (la la)" marked her return to music this year following a break to start a family with husband Josh Duhamel

The festivities - beginning at Times Square - will be shown on ABC from 8 p.m. on Dec. 31,
