American Horror Story is facing a horror story of its own. The FX series, currently in its fourth season and titled Freak Show, has just reported that an important artifact has been stolen from the New Orleans set. The show, which has seen some pretty crazy twists and turns this season, might have one of the major plot lines spoiled before it can actually air.

According to TMZ, a script for one of the critical and pivotal scenes of the current season was stolen from the set and it is currently being shopped to different news outlets. The source is reporting that while one of the actors was on set reading their script that they left it unattended and someone ripped a page out of it and stole it.

While this might not seem like such a big deal since it was only one page, the piece of paper had some important information on it regarding Pepper's storyline, including how the pinhead finds herself in Briarcliff Manor, the setting of Season 2's Asylum.

As Ryan Murphy explained earlier this month, all the seasons of American Horror Story are interconnected, and fans have been anxiously waiting to see how Pepper will find her way to the asylum where viewers were first introduced to her.

A representative for 20th Century Fox spoke out to TMZ about the theft, saying, "The theft and unauthorized distribution of our scripts is a very serious matter and we will take all appropriate steps necessary to vigorously protect our intellectual property."

American Horror Story airs on FX Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
