By now the entire world knows all about Novak Djokovic and his tennis ability, but not many would have believed that he could beat Roger Federer and Andy Murray on the same day, within minutes between one another. That's right, he won the ATP World Tour final against Federer, and he then treated the fans to an exhibition game against the hometown hotshot Murray. You're probably wondering why and how he took on the duo, right? Read on and all will be explained.

Everything was in place for the ATP final, but at the last minute Federer had to pull out through injury, leaving thousands of unhappy fans. By default Novak was confirmed as the ATP final winner, and luckily Murray saved the day, accepting the offer of an exhibition match, ensuring the fans still got a tennis treat after all.

Federer explained his decision, saying, "I'm sorry I'm not fit to play. I hope you understand. I wanted to come out personally and explain. I did everything I could. I took pain-killers, had rest until the very end, but I just cannot compete at this level with Novak. At my age it would've been a risk. It's not that much of a surprise. This back spasm, whatever it might be, it's just not a fun thing to have during the day. It's just uncomfortable. But I'm positive and I'm hopeful that it's going to go away soon."

Would you have been disappointed if you were one of the fans in attendance? Does Murray deserve some respect for his decision? After all he's been labelled a "non-fan friendly" star, but his kindhearted gesture suggests otherwise.
