'19 Kids & Counting': TLC Forced To Cancel Show? Michelle Duggar Posts Petition To Save Reality Series From Change.org Petition!

The 19 Kids & Counting family the Duggars have been in a storm of controversy ever since they decided to delete photos of same-sex couples kissing on their Facebook page. Then matriarch Michelle Duggar asked Fayetteville, Arkansas, residents in a robocall to vote to repeal a law that grants equal housing to transgender people. This led to a petition to cancel the TLC series, but now there's a counter-petition to keep it on the air.

Michelle posted a link on her Facebook page to the ipetitions.com appeal that says, "The Duggar Family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing for traditional marriage. We commend The Duggar Family for their brave stand in defending marriage as ordained by God between one man and one woman. No individual's sexual behavior and chosen lifestyle has the right to redefine marriage.

"Sign our petition today to let TLC know that you support the Duggars' stand for traditional marriage."

The pro-Duggars petition has garnered more than 49,000 signatures, but it doesn't come close to the anti-Duggars petition, which has more than 156,000 supporters.

As MStars News reported, the change.org petition started when LGBT activist Jim Wissick of San Jose, California, was fed up with the TLC family's constant efforts to undermine the LGBT community.

He wrote in the petition, "The Duggars have thrown massive amounts of money to repeal this law so business owners and land lords can evict and fire people solely over gender idenity and sexual orientation! They need to be taken off the air!"

"End LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars," the petition to TLC continued. "The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people. You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show."
