By Larry Abuliak | Nov 23, 2014 11:37 AM EST

The "19 Kids & Counting" family the Duggars have been in a storm of controversy ever since they decided to delete photos of same-sex couples kissing on their Facebook page. Then matriarch Michelle Duggar asked Fayetteville, Arkansas, residents in a robocall to vote to repeal a law that grants equal housing to transgender people. This led to a petition to cancel the TLC series, but now there's a counter-petition to keep it on the air. Michelle posted a link on her Facebook page to the ipetitions.com appeal that says, "The Duggar Family is under attack from anti-marriage advocates for standing for traditional marriage. We commend The Duggar Family for their brave stand in defending marriage as ordained by God between one man and one woman. No individual's sexual behavior and chosen lifestyle has the right to redefine marriage. "Sign our petition today to let TLC know that you support the Duggars' stand for traditional marriage." The pro-Duggars petition has garnered more than 49,000 signatures, but it doesn't come close to the anti-Duggars petition, which has more than 156,000 supporters. As "MStars News" reported, the change.org petition started when LGBT activist Jim Wissick of San Jose, California, was fed up with the TLC family's constant efforts to undermine the LGBT community.
