'The Originals' [SPOILERS]: Will Hayley and Elijah Get Together Before The Holidays?

With The Originals getting ready for its midseason finale (which will air on December 8) fans want to know what is going to happen with Hayley Marshall (played by Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah Mikaelson (played by Daniel Gillies). Before the holidays, will they get together, finally? We have the fabulous spoiler below.

Currently Elijah and Hayley are keeping their distance because Hayley had a baby with Elijah's brother Klaus (played by Joseph Morgan), which obviously complicates their relationship. However, that doesn't mean Elijah and Hayley fans shouldn't expect a happy ever after ... eventually.

"I wouldn't go writing off Hayley and Elijah anytime soon," executive producer Julie Plec told reporters during a recent set visit via TV Line. "Along with the holidays often come some joy and cheer in that area, too." Fingers crossed for a kiss under the mistletoe for these two!

Julie went on to explain why Elijah hasn't made his move this season. "He genuinely believes that if he loves too deeply, he will hurt the person that he cares for." His efforts to keep her at distance unfortunately have been hurting her, but it won't go on forever. "She'll finally get to confront him about that," the EP revealed. Plus she explained that "a sense of where everybody stands in that relationship" would come out before the end of 2014.

Tonight's all-new episode will continue to the guest star arc for Rebekah (played by Claire Holt) as she is reunited with two of her brothers and her mother Esther. According to TV.com, while Rebekah goes with her mother for a trip into the hills, her big brother Klaus tries to turn Vincent and Kaleb to his side. Other things to look forward to tonight are Davina looking to dark magic while Hayley and Jackson discover an ancient ritual that could free their whole pack from Esther's spell.
