The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev is crossing over to The CW's spin-off series The Originals this season and it's going to be interesting. In her crossover appearance, Nina teases that there will be a new love triangle and the original doppelganger will be revealed.

According to E! Online, Nina will not be playing any character we've previously met in her six seasons on The Vampire Diaries. This time, she'll be playing Tatia, the woman both Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) fell in love with many years prior.

Nina in another love triangle? We can't wait to see this!

In The Vampire Diaries, Nina has played Elena and Katherine, two women who are each other's doppelganger who created a rift between Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). So, clearly love triangles are nothing new for this actress.

"What we remember from The Vampire Diaries, for those who watch both shows, is that [Klaus and Elijah] both loved her, so it's a little bit of history repeating itself like with Stefan and Damon," creator Julie Plec exclusively told E! Online about Nina's new character Tatia.

"And then Esther [played by Alice Evans], their mother, killed her so that she could make Klaus not a hybrid. There's a lot of secrets and scandal and romance and terrible tragedy attached to her character," she added.

Taking on Tatia is different for Nina because not only is she involved in a twisted love triangle that sheds light on Klaus and Elijah's past, but she's the original doppelganger, the one who started it all.

"She's the original and so she kind of feels the most pure, to me, of all the characters, and unaffected and doesn't have all of this previous history of the doppelgangers preceding her to add pressure," Nina told E! Online. "She was just sort of dealing with love that went wrong."

Nina's crossover episode of The Originals will air Nov. 3.
