When James Rodriguez had a stunning World Cup performance and signed to Real Madrid, many thought he was bought to help Cristiano Ronaldo, but could he actually be an early replacement? Both stars are icons for Real, but James is getting glory upon glory, and Ronaldo is continuously linked with a return to Manchester United, which would leave James as the top dog in Spain. James has now announced an underwear sponsorship deal, following Ronaldo's path, but one can wonder, are they hoping to be a duo like NBA superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, or is he trying to push Ronaldo out the door? The latest words from the Real camp have come from James, not Cristiano, adding more fuel to the fire.

James is now modelling his new line of underwear, the "J10" brand made my Bronzini. Is he trying to copy Ronaldo? First he modelled his game on his style, then he joined his club, and finally he has joined the underwear business, prompting speculation that he's here to replace CR7.

If you're still not sure, how about the latest news from Real. James has come out, trying to urge his team to remain focused and prepared for some "big games", when usually Ronaldo would be the one to lead his team. James explained, "We knew that it was going to be a tough match, but we also knew that we could go out and win if we played well and put in a good match. I'm happy about the win and coming away with a good result. We knew if we came out strong and got an early goal we were going to come out on top. 4-0 is a really good result. Now we have two tough games coming up that we also have to win. We have to keep playing to this level, we have good players and we hope we can keep it up."

For now these two stars are teammates, but we're starting to think the younger James might just be Cristiano's replacement, but we just don't know it yet. Will this push Ronaldo back to England
