Gareth Bale, now of Real Madrid, is also on the list. The list stands as a 55-man shortlist which will be cut down, with many of the stars missing out. Was it right for Kompany's teammate Sergio Aguero to miss out, according to the BBC? The star explained, "He makes things achievable that otherwise wouldn't be. He's our special player.
