The UEFA Team of the Year nominations are out. Premier League stars Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Thiabaut Courtois, Diego Costa, Angel Di Maria and Alexis Sanchez make the nominee list, but will their nominations be turned into a place on the elite team? Gareth Bale, now of Real Madrid, is also on the list. The list stands as a 55-man shortlist which will be cut down, with many of the stars missing out.
Was it right for Kompany's teammate Sergio Aguero to miss out, according to the BBC?
The star explained, "He makes things achievable that otherwise wouldn't be. He's our special player. If you want to succeed at anything, you need a special player in special form, otherwise you just don't win anything."
