Liverpool have had a horrible season to date, with little success in either the Premier League or the UEFA Champions League, but they're hoping to make amends in Bulgaria when they face minnows Ludogorets. The Reds need the 3 points and they could do with a morale-boosting win according to their manager Brendan Rodgers. They've played some of their difficult games, and this is one they would have predicted to win, so they'll be hoping to follow through with their plans. Rodgers insisted: "Sometimes it just takes a game, an action, to change a season for you. We have to believe that can happen. We haven't been anywhere near our levels. But you can never give up."

Without Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, the Reds have been a much weaker force than they were last season. They sold Suarez, and Sturridge has struggled to stay fit, leaving Liverpool with little attacking options other than Mario. Mario has been a shadow of his former self, leaving the Reds lacking any goal threat. This must change, starting tonight, if they hope to obtain their season goals.
