Ashley Rickards Teases The Second Half Of MTV's 'Awkward' Season Four Finale

Tonight's all-new episode of Awkward will mark the second half of its season four finale. Ashley Rickards, who plays Jenna Hamilton, is teasing what to expect during the rest of the finale.

Last week, Awkward's "Sprang Break" part one aired and it was full of drama. When the Palos Hills High School seniors headed to Mexico for spring break, it looked like Jenna and the gang would finally be able to let off some steam. After Jenna finally got into college, things were looking up, even if Sadie didn't want her at her vacation house. Unfortunately, when Matty decided to meet his biological dad (who Jenna found for him), his new girlfriend, Gabby, magically showed up, putting Jenna back into the friend zone.

So what can we expect from tonight's episode? Will Matty and Jenna remain just friends or will they date again? "She's just trying to make the friendship work," Ashley told Zap2it. "I mean there will always be something with her and Matty, because there was something. That's the case with most exes."

With Jenna's knowledge about Matty's father and her continued support for him, it isn't going to be easy to just walk away from their relationship. "It can be really difficult when people intervene on information that pertains to you that you don't know about. There are times when it can be for a good reason, but I think Jenna would want to know [if Matty has feelings for her]," the 22-year-old actress explained.

At the end of Tuesday's episode, Jenna meets a new and very hot boy who is a part of the military; hopefully he will help keep her mind off of Matty. Even though we never expected Jenna to forget about him all together, it would be nice for her to enjoy the rest of her senior year without his annoying relationship with Gabby interfering with her happiness.

"Everyone is going to be splitting up and going to different schools. Things are going to be changing," Ashley revealed about the upcoming fifth season. "She's going to get all sentimental and there will be some really touching voice over. I want her to savor it and really enjoy each moment because she'll never get it back."
