Lea Thompson Reflects On Her Iconic 'Back To The Future' Role And Talks About Ex-Fiancé Dennis Quaid

Lea Thompson has a very successful acting career, but her most notable role is Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future. The 53-year-old star even paid homage to her role this season on Dancing With the Stars. Now, she is reflecting on her past hit and talking about her ex-fiancé Dennis Quaid.

The Switched at Birth actress revealed that she actually saw the finished film with her then fiancé Parent Trap star Dennis Quaid and she still remembers it as one of the best memories about the film. "My favorite memory of Back to the Future actually is seeing it! I was engaged to Dennis Quaid at the time and the movie had been out for like two months and we went to the Cinerama Dome," she recalled when talking to Us Weekly.

"They gave me a free parking spot and it was completely full and we stood in the back and watched the whole movie. People were just ecstatic! I was like, 'Oh my gosh ... this is spectacular!' As a movie actor you never get that kind of feedback."

Lea also opened up about her favorite film in the series, which was the original (obviously) and which costume she kept from the trilogy. "I wore the pink dress in the promo that we did three weeks ago. I do still have that," she explained.

As for her most memorable fan story, she revealed it had to do with a tattoo. "Oh, yeah! I had a woman say, 'Can you sign my hip?' And then she came back and found me in an hour and she had tattooed it on! Can you believe that?" Lea told the publication.

The Caroline in the City star admitted that she actually never rode in the famous DeLorean until she was on DWTS. "No! Only on Dancing With the Stars! I got to drive the DeLorean here. Finally!" she exclaimed.
