Kirk Cameron's new movie Saving Christmas isn't doing to well in the critic's eyes so, the Growing Pains alum decided to do something. In order to boost the ratings and earn his movie longer time in theaters, Kirk decided to post hilarious pictures on his Facebook.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, Saving Christmas has an eight percent rating and only a 35 percent audience score. With numbers like that Kirk needed serious help to boost the amount of time the movie would air in theaters. Saving Christmas is about Kirk trying to save Christmas after his brother-in-law Christian is a bug humbug.

So what did Kirk do in order to boost the "audience score" on Rotten Tomatoes? He posted fun pictures using tomatoes urging fans to vote if they liked the film. "All of you who love Saving Christmas – go rate it at Rotten Tomatoes right now and send the message to all the critics that WE decide what movies we want our families to see!" he wrote.

"If 2,000 of you (out of almost 2 million on this page) take a minute to rate Saving Christmas, it will give the film a huge boost and more will see it as a result!"

Later he revealed that his fan's votes were working, but the numbers on the site don't back that up. "You just drove the Rotten Tomato rating to an all-time, soaring high of 94%!" he added. "Now the haters and atheists are coming out of the woodwork, attempting to hammer your good work (they rallied to drop your rating super low). They are attempting, once again, to ruin Saving Christmas for everyone."

With negative reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes site it is clear there are some people who are not voting to save the Christmas film. "All we need now is Kirk explaining how candy canes are divinely designed, as they curve enticingly toward the mouth. This movie puts the 'Christ' back in, 'Christ, that was horrifying.'" viewer Prateek L wrote.

Surprisingly, Kirk managed to earn the film two more weeks in theaters, which could help his percentage on the rating site over time. "Wow, we did it! Saving Christmas has been extended beyond our original two weeks in almost 300 theaters! Let's keep it going! What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than taking your family to see Saving Christmas? Together, we are putting Christ back in CHRISTmas!" he wrote on his Facebook account.
