'The Bachelor' Alum Renee Oteri Maynard To Appear On ABC’s 'The Taste'

The Bachelor alum Renee Oteri Maynard is coming back to television ... but as a cook! Renee, who appeared on season 18 of the hit dating show, will make her TV comeback on ABC's The Taste.

Renee was in the top four on Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor, but now the spotlight is all on her. The mother of one will appear on The Taste during season three, People exclusively reported.

"I've always loved to cook my whole life," Renee exclusively told People. "I started in the kitchen really young just watching my mom and then moving forward I was a house cook on Bachelor for the two weeks we were in L.A. in the mansion [and] it was so much fun. I love to cook for other people. That's really my joy."

The reality star married Bracy Maynard after finishing her stint on the ABC dating show only one month after being engaged last spring. "And THAT just happened. I married my best friend of 22 years!" Renee wrote on her Instagram in March.

The happy couple is now expecting her first child together. Renee also has her own son from a previous relationship, Ben who is nine years old. Now that she is pregnant again she revealed that she can't wait to see how it affects her cooking abilities.

"It's definitely interesting cooking [while] being pregnant," she admitted to the publication. "I pick up different scents. Some things kind of gross me out now whereas they didn't before, but what I'm doing now that I'm pregnant that's different is I am coming up with the most bizarre concoctions ever."

Despite being over the TV world, Renee is nervous and excited to see how her gig on The Taste plays out. Her love of food is what pushed her to do this TV appearance in the first place she revealed. "I kind of just took a big leap of faith with this whole thing, but I'm really just looking forward to kind of seeing how it all plays out," she explained.

"I have no idea how well or how terrible I'm going to do so it'll be definitely interesting." Tune in to see how Renee does on The Taste when it returns on Thursday on ABC.
