Mario Balotelli was a huge star for Manchester City, but they believed his troubling ways far outweighed the goals, and the good displays, he brought to the team. A few years later and Liverpool decided it'd be worth a gamble to bring him back to the Premier League. So far he's been no threat in front of goal, shown signs of laziness, disobeyed club rules, and now, he's being investigated for a "racist" Instagram post, which he has since apologized for. Will the Reds call it a day and let the Italian forward leave in January, and will this mean an EPL exit? Of course his apology might be accepted, but there always seems to be a "next time" when Balotelli is involved, with the striker never truly learning from his many mistakes.

He posted a picture with Super Mario, saying "Don't be a racist!" He added: "Be like Mario, he's an Italian plumber, created by Japanese people, who speaks English and looks like a Mexican. He jumps like a black man and grabs coins like a Jew."

When he was slammed by fans, he replied, saying, "My Mom is Jewish so all of you shut up please." Soon after he tweeted: "I apologize if I've offended anyone. The post was meant to be anti-racist with humour. I now understand that out of context it may have the opposite effect. Not all Mexicans have a moustache, not all black people jump high and not all Jewish people love money. I used a cartoon done by somebody else because it has Super Mario and I thought it was funny and not offensive. Again, I'm sorry."

Balotelli may be innocent here, but for a young player, especially a struggling one, he is attracting an awful lot of trouble to the club. One can wonder, just how much longer will they put up with this behavior?
