This week's episode of The Middle is all about big college moments. "The College Tour" isn't only about Axl's college career; it focuses a lot on Sue's journey to college.

The episode begins with Sue waking Mike up at 6:10 a.m. to ask if he wants to get up early to start her college tour weekend. Even though he didn't want to wake up until 8 a.m. Sue is so excited that she can't go back to sleep.

Sue leaves for her first weekend of college tours with her dad as Brick and Frankie begin to plan their weekend together. Just when Brick starts to get excited about spending time with his mom Axl calls and reveals that he is finally going to play in a football game at college, which he is so excited about. Frankie drops all of her plans to be with him for the weekend.

Meanwhile Frankie and Sue have started their first tour at Indiana University and it is definitely strange. In addition to an annoying father and daughter duo talking about pancakes, the tour guide keeps pointing out Native American study programs to only Sue, which is really odd.

Later that night Sue asks Mike about all the Native American pamphlets the guide gave her and she admits to checking the box for "Native American" on her college applications. She is a "Native of America" after all! When she finally hears it out loud she discovers that she has committed a felony and starts to freak out in typical Sue fashion.

While Frankie is at Axl's place, which is disgusting, Brick is at home with a variety of different babysitters. Starting with Sue's wrestlerettes friend, who only eats things from the ground. As she tries to help Brick start his science project it is clear that Brick's weekend isn't going to end well.

The next day at the game, Frankie is so excited to see Axl get in finally. Unfortunately when he does go in he fumbles the football and is taken out right away. Frankie pretends that she doesn't know him and when they get back to his house she tries to help him figure out what went wrong by going through her phone video footage of the play.

As Axl is breaking down after his embarrassing game, Sue is having panic attack in the bathroom after she awkwardly announced that she was "all white" at one school and didn't know how to get food on the dining hall tray at another. Mike tells her it will all be better in the morning and surprisingly he is right.

During their Purdue tour, the tour guide asks if anyone has a question and Sue raises her hand. She asks if she was a freshman again what she would've liked to know. The girl talks about the food trays and all of a sudden Sue is at ease. Meanwhile Mike is stuck talking to the annoying father that is on almost all of their tours and he realizes that although the man is very talkative and weird that he is right about their daughters growing up too quickly.

Back to Axl, he is still in a slump the day after the game and he finally admits to his mom why he is so upset. He had invited Devin Levine, the girl he likes, to the game and she saw him mess up which is why he is so embarrassed. Frankie gives him advice about girls and tells him to own his mistake. He actually takes her advice and calls Devin and jokes about dedicating the fumble to her and it is adorable.

Back in Orson, Brick is on his second babysitter, Chuck from his dad's work, who tells him school is overrated. His last sitter is Brad, who helps him decorate his project with glitter, but doesn't help him make the racecar actually work. When he takes it to school it ends up running perfectly and Brick is beyond amazed.

At the end of Sue's college trip Mike gets emotional (as emotional as Mike can get) and talks to Sue about her life. He wants to make sure that he was the dad she wanted and she quickly reassures him that he is the world's greatest dad. She got him a mug that says that and "mugs don't lie!"
