Dean Cain is opening up about Brooke Shields losing her virginity to him after their story was revealed in her new book. The Pretty Baby actress exposed the fact that she lost her virginity to Superman's Dean when she was 22 years old and now the actor is talking about the major life moment.

Last month Brooke exclusively talked to People about some of the things she wrote about in her new book There Was A Little Girl, which focuses on her relationship with her mother and her life growing up in the limelight. Within the memoir The Blue Lagoon star revealed that she lost her virginity to her college boyfriend Dean and it was genuine.

"The whole virginity thing happened quite genuinely," Brooke told People. After meeting Dean at Princeton University she wrote they were "instantly crazy" about each other. He book described their romance saying they were, "always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss, but poor guy, I made him wait."

She revealed that after they slept together she jumped out of bed very overwhelmed. "I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running," she wrote in her memoir via People. "I was buck naked streaking down the hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet."

Dean ran after her and caught up to her, but she was very confused she admitted about the experience. "I didn't know where I began and where my mother ended," Brooke wrote. "And that meant I didn't know how to fit Dean in."

When Brooke chose to include the story in her book she talked to Dean about it and he was very nice about the whole thing. "He said 'As long as you're happy with it, I'm comfortable with it,'" she told People in November. "There's nothing sordid about it. He's such a good guy and a sweet human being."

Earlier this week, Dean visited the Today show and talked about the story Brooke revealed in her memoir. "Brooke is a wonderful, wonderful girl," Dean told Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb. "We were college sweethearts and she's obviously written the whole book."

He continued saying, "I don't think a girl loses her virginity. They give it. We were in love. She was a wonderful girl."
