Mad Men star Jon Hamm can do a lot of things, whether it be drama or comedy, but when it comes to playing a superhero, the actor admits that he's made the "right decision" in turning those kinds of roles down. It's no secret that with the release of several mega comic-book-inspired hits like the upcoming Batman v. Superman, which stars Ben Affleck as Batman, and the new announcement of the Suicide Squad cast, actors are lining up around the block to play a superhero in an upcoming comic book or Marvel movie. But not Don Draper!

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Hamm recently said in an interview with Radio Times that "[wearing] a cape and tights for a living, you literally have a hard time making an impression."

He further stated that having him play a superhero would be a ridiculous move, considering the "fact" that he's both "old and irrelevant" to the media. "Ask anyone under the age of twenty if they have heard of me and they will go, 'No, that guy looks like my dad'," Hamm said.

But there's more to it than his supposed old age and irrelevancy that has Hamm turning down the superhero roles. Mainly because he just didn't want to lock himself into one of the roles for years. Of course, some might say that he did that with Don Draper and Mad Men but let's be honest, a suit is probably way more comfortable than a Batman or Spiderman outfit. We think, at least.

"The deals that they make you do are so Draconian," he added. "And, of course, you are signed on for not only the movie... but at least two more that you haven't read and have no idea what they are going to be and all the crossover ones you are going to have to do."

So, no, we will not be seeing Don Draper in a superhero costume. Why? Because he doesn't even think about them ... "at all!"
