What do you do when comedy legend Mel Brooks takes over Jimmy Kimmel Live, and kicks the host out of his chair? You go along with it and keep smiling! That's what host Jimmy Kimmel was forced to do as Brooks - promoting his Mel Brooks: Live AT The Geffen HBO special - and the man behind such classics as The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein ran rampant through the set, revealing the time he impersonated Frank Sinatra so well that The Chairman Of The Board wrote a note demanding Brooks be his replacement if he couldn't do a Vegas show! Brooks, 88, who's also set to star in Hotel Transylvania 2 was full of energy even as he's "almost 100!"

Brooks revealed his thoughts on the Seth Rogen and James Franco movie The Interview, pointing out that he "waited until Hitler was dead!" to make The Producers, why Young Frankenstein was filmed in black and white ("down the call you heard thundering Jews, 28 Jews chasing" him yelling 'no') and that he recently scored a boulevard being named after him. Check out the clip below:

As for the Chairman of the Board, you can watch the comedy legend sing America the Beautiful in the style of Sinatra, and it was such a performance while he doing High Anxiety back in the day, Brooks says. The crooner sent the manager of a Vegas casino "If I ever get sick, put Mel Brooks in there... but no comedy!"

He also explains the idea of the new HBO special, which is Brooks sharing "intimate stories" about "his childhood in Brooklyn, his rise in television, his courtship and marriage to actress Anne Bancroft, and his film career." It premieres on HBO as a one-off special on January 31.

The one off idea, Brooks told Kimmel, is similar to the FDR fireside chats of his youth, and "nobody VDR'd FDR!"

As for his involvement in Hotel Transylvania 2 playing, as USA Today report, "the centuries old Vlad," Brooks said the character is "like my real, honest-to-goodness personality. I'm pretty grumpy."
