Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher once again led the Seminoles to an undefeated regular season. And once again Fisher was rewarded with a contract extension, this one that will keep him in Tallahassee until 2020 and make him "one of college football's highest paid coaches," according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Fisher signed a deal last year that paid him more than $4 million per season. The deals of this contract are not available yet, but its safe to assume Fisher earned a raise.

This just a day after Jameis Winston was relieved of any wrongdoing by the university for a alleged sexual assault dating back to Winston's freshman season.

Florida State is ranked No.3 in the college football playoff and will play No.2 Oregon in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. No.1 Alabama faces off against No.4 Ohio State in the other semifinal matchup.

Florida State was pleased to announce the contract.

"I am pleased that we have been able to secure Coach Fisher as our head coach for the long term," FSU athletic director Stan Wilcox said. "The commitment we are making to him is a reflection of the outstanding job he has done in leading our program to its current level of excellence.

"While we are delighted with the undefeated season this year and our upcoming appearance in the inaugural College Football Playoff, we began working on this new contract before the success of this past season was in full view. It is a great day for Florida State."

Fisher previously worked as offensive coordinator at LSU from 2000 to 2006, Samford from 1991-1992, and as the quarterback coach at Auburn from 1993 to 1998.

His Seminoles were historically dominant in 2013, setting national record for points in a season while allowing just 12.1 per game, according to the school's website.
