VH1 may be keeping the controversial show Sorority Sisters but advertisers are pulling out left and right.

According to The Washington Post, companies like Carmax, Honda, Hallmark, State Farm and more have decided to cancel their advertisements during the air play of Sorority Sisters after the show received harsh backlash from Black Twitter, and the NPHC (National Pan-Hellenic Council).

MStars News previously reported that VH1 has no plans of ending the show after 1.3 million people tuned in to the show opening night.

According to The Shade Room:

"In an emailed statement, VH1 said that the premiere was seen by 1.3 million people and it was the number one non-sports cable program in that time period among women ages 18 to 49."

MStars News previously reported that VH1 stated:

"There are currently no plans to change the series and it seems to be connecting with its audience ... Due to the confidential nature of our agreements with our advertising partners, we never speak to specifics about clients and their media plans ... But we do enjoy successful, long-term partnerships with our advertisers and are happy to honor any requests to move spots to other parts of our schedule."

Here is a list of sponsors that have decided to not advertise with VH1 because of the controversial show, and the outrage tweets the public protested.
