It's finally here - NBA Christmas Day basketball! Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook's Oklahoma City Thunder will take on reigning NBA Champs Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs in a huge Christmas Day showdown between Western Conference behemoths. A rematch of the 2014 Western Conference Finals, this is sure to be a huge game and it's on Thursday, December 25 at 2.30 p.m. EST on ABC from the AT&T Arena in SanAntonio. The Thunder have recovered from injuries to both reigning NBA MVP Durant and superstar point guard Westbrook, and now sit 10th in the Western Conference playoff race with 13 wins and 16 losses. After Kevin Durant's ankle sprain last week NBA.com's John Schumann has them ranked 14th in his official NBA power rankings. He says: 

"Kevin Durant got hurt again, Russell Westbrook shot like Kobe, and the Thunder's run to the top eight in the West was halted by losses to the Warriors and Pelicans. The bigger issue has actually been on defense, where they've allowed 109 points per 100 possessions in their last three games after allowing just 94 during their seven-game winning streak. 

Meanwhile, the reigning champs have the seventh best record in the West, sitting at 18-11 after Monday's 125-118 win over the LA Clippers. But with injuries still plaguing the team and coach Gregg Popovic still resting his players during the regular season, Schumann says:

"We'll never count out the Spurs, especially when they remain a top-five defense and competitive no matter who takes the floor or how much zone they're playing. But the losses are starting to pile up. Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies, in which they threw two passes away in the final seconds and shot 13-for-27 from the free throw line, was particularly brutal."
