Star Georgia running back Todd Gurley will enter the 2015 NFL draft, says Georgia Bulldogs coach Mark Richt, even as the SEC running back and former Heismann trophy frontrunner is still undergoes rehabilitation for an ACL tear that occurred after returning from a four-game NCAA suspension for receiving money after selling autograph memorabilia. The Bulldogs (ranked 13th) play Louisville (ranked 20th) in a battle for the Belk Bowl this coming Tuesday December 30. Before the game and speaking of Gurley, Richt told Seth Emerson of The Macon Telegraph that "He'll be moving on."

As Sports Illustrated report, back on Dec. 2, coach Richt told listeners to his radio show regardless of the knee injury to Gurley, the running back, he thought, would "still be a very high draft pick in this draft."

Sports Illustrated also point out that before he tore his ACL against Auburn on Nov. 15, "Gurley rushed for 911 yards and scored nine touchdowns in six games".

According to ESPN, Richt also said that Gurley's rehab is going so well that Richt "wouldn't be shocked to see him doing a lot of things for the scouts before the draft."

As CBS Sports explain, Gurley will leave Georgia with a college career total of "3,285 yards on a 6.4 yards-per-carry average", having also rushed for 36 touchdowns.

ESPN's Todd McShay has Gurley still going in the first round of the NFL draft, with his first mock draft finding Gurley going to the Seattle Seahawks, with McShay saying "at this spot, Gurley (assuming Seattle's doctors were comfortable with his recovery from his torn ACL) would provide high upside as a value pick," and that "Scouts I've spoken to considered Gurley a potential top 10-to-20 pick prior to his injury." It figures, says McShay, as Gurley's "closest NFL comparison is Lynch."
