The Hawks are off to a surprisingly excellent start to the 2014-15 NBA regular season, and currently sit at the very top of the Eastern Conference with a 24-8. They also at the No. 6 spot in Matt Moore's official NBA power rankings for CBS Sports. Says Moore, however, that they could be even higher:

"This team would have been No. 2 but just when the hype was getting started, they were crushed by Milwaukee in their own house. They responded the next night in a road victory vs. the same Bucks, and their defense was best in the league in December. Atlanta's looking really good."

The Trailblazers are off to a great start to the 2014-15 NBA regular season, as they've kept their lineups consistent, leaning on stars Aldridge and Lillard, and currently sit second in the exceptionally tough Western Conference with a 26-7 record.

According to Moore's Power Rankings - where the Blazers rank right near the top in 2nd place out of 30 - the Blazers are looking fine.

"Damian Lillard hit one of the shots of the year vs. the Thunder, and they've kept winning despite injuries to two key starters. The Blazers are finding a way and executing at a marvelously high level. Compulsively fun with the defense to back it up, the Blazers are a better team than last year."
